Coronation Street's Samia Longchambon got into the spirit over the weekend as many people across the country celebrated the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. The monarch's 70-year reign was marked with official events as well as street parties held in towns, villages, and cities.
And it appears Samia, who is best known for appearing as Maria Windass in the ITV soap, got in on the action, even getting a selfie with the Queen - sort of.
The soap star took to Instagram to share a snap of herself standing to next to a cardboard cut out of 96-year-old Queen Elizabeth in her royal finery including a crown. Samia posed next to the figure, donning a pair of shades and a white sleeveless top for the sunny occasion.

Holding on to a glass of fizz, with union jack plates and tables pictures in the background, the 39-year-old said: "She insisted we have one.." before adding the hashtags: "#platinumjubilee #streetparty #selfie #godsavethequeen."
The photo left Samia's thousands of followers in stitches and comes after another post from over the Jubilee weekend which featured a comment from her son.
The Eccles-born actress took to the photo sharing platform with an image that had been doctored to show the Queen shaking hands with her younger self. "I don’t know who created this pic but it’s just lovely isn’t it.." Samia wrote alongside the poignant picture.
"My 6 year old son saw it and said 'ah she’s meeting her future self!' Happy #platinumjubilee to our wonderful Queen Elizabeth," the Corrie star added before soon being flooded with comments about her son, Yves who she shares with former Dancing On Ice star Sylvain Longchambon
