Fans saw upsetting scenes on Coronation Street as a pale Faye Windass emerged from the bathroom and told her friend Emma Brooker she feared she was losing her baby. At the hospital Faye and her partner Craig Tinker waited for the scan results but were shocked by what they were told.
Last month Faye revealed that she was pregnant. And she was worried that the timing was awful as she and policeman Craig had been at loggerheads.
Faye, played by Ellie Leach, had been covering up the death of a pensioner called Ted who she had accidentally run down on New Year's Day. And Craig had quit the police after being roped into her dark secret with best friend Emma Brooker, who ended up falling for Ted's grandson Jon Spear.
