She's been causing havoc for Adam Barlow but if Coronation Street fans had thought she had gone far enough, Lydia Chambers took it a step further. The bunny boiler, played by Rebecca Ryan, has convinced Adam's wife Sarah Barlow that the pair have been having an affair since she arrived in Weatherfield at the end of last year.
But as viewers of the ITV soap know, Lydia is telling porkies and is actually just seeking revenge and destroying the solicitor's life after the pair had a brief fling back in their university days.

During Monday night's hour-long trip to Weatherfield, Adam was given crushing news from Sarah when she told him she had filed for a divorce and not ready to take it lying down, he sent a text from Sarah's phone to Lydia and headed off to meet her. He attempted to record their conversation but to no avail as Lydia quickly worked out his plan. After trying to escape him and heading up the escalator to the next floor of the complex, the pair entered into another confrontation where an emotional Lydia jogged Adam's memory about their time dating back at university and how badly he treated her.
She told how she was left seeking an abortion alone when she fell pregnant at the age of 19. As he apologised for his actions back then, bringing up his own family life that he believes played into his persona, Lydia had to rush off to collect her son, Finn, from school.
Things seemingly ended on amicable terms. However, when Adam asked if Lydia could tell Sarah the truth, Lydia became enraged once again and she ended up slapping Adam.
And as he went to stop her from walking away she shoved her ex over a first-floor railing with his uncle Daniel Osbourne suddenly witnessing Adam crashing to the ground in front of him but not seeing who it was as a stunned Lydia quickly escaped the empty shopping centre. As a bloodied Adam lay on the floor with Daniel by his side, Corrie fans were quick to point out a series of blunders that could have helped in the long run - the first being with Daniel.
"Why did Daniel not look up??" @obrien.2666 asked.
@LeedSTUnited tweeted: "Daniel, if you had a brain, you would’ve looked straight up, after he fell. Plus, how did you not see her walk straight passed you #Corrie."
"So stupid and unrealistic for Daniel not to have looked around or up. Did he think Adam just leapt off the balcony ffs? #Corrie," @MeeshyJay commented.
@unsworth1live wrote: "#Corrie your first instinct would be to look up to where he had fallen from. Can’t believe Daniel didn’t even glimpse at balcony."
But that wasn't all Daniel missed as Lydia made her way down the escalator to the ground floor of the shopping centre close to where Adam waited for help.
"Sorry but how did Daniel not hear her footsteps? #Corrie," @tuaisceartach said.
Another echoed: "Sorry but how did Daniel not hear her footsteps? #Corrie."
And Corrie fans were concerned for Adam who seems to be a target for horror injuries after he was last hit over the head by Faye Windass in a case of mistaken identity at the end of 2020.
@KaeGunz said: "How many bangs to the head is adam gonna get? #corrie."
"Poor Adam! He can't catch a break, firs Faye knocking him out, now this," @sambawse wrote.
@clayton7857 asked: "How many lives Adam got."
"How many times is he gonna get attacked and bash his head this lad? Surely he would be brain damaged by now if it was real life," @hackheat91 added.
But Corrie fans do think they know how Lydia will get caught after she earlier threatened Adam that CCTV would catch him intimidating her. @Wee_Westie29 tweeted: "CCTV, the staff and Lydia’s DNA on Adam’s clothes will catch her out. #Corrie #CoronationStreet @itvcorrie."
"Surely there’s cctv #corrie," @BobbyWilde2 said. @RyanGTweetsTV commented: "No point in hiding now Lydia CCTV will catch you out #Corrie."
"They will have all this on cctv #Corrie," @sadlerfiona21 added.
