Coronation Street viewers were surprised as Amy Robbins bid farewell to to the Cobbles.
The 51-year-old from Wirral only arrived on Weatherfield as Daisy Midgeley's mum, Christina, last month. Corrie fans have quickly taken Amy to their heart as they finally got an insight into Daisy's fractured relationship with her mum.
Christina's arrival on the soap came at the worst possible time for her daughter as she goes through a dramatic period on the soap. Daisy is currently planning her wedding with Daniel Osbourne but her plans have been rocked after she was targeted by a stalker.

However, it is unclear whether Christina will remain by her daughter's side throughout her ordeal as Amy confirmed she has finished filming on the Cobbles. The soap actor took to Instagram to share a snap alongside co-stars, Robert Mallard and Charlotte Jordan, to confirm her exit.
She said: "And so .. Christina bids a fond farewell to her beloved long suffering Daisy and her darling soon to be soon in law Daniel . @charliejordanxo @rob.mallard @sallyannmathews I shall miss you. Thank you ALL at @coronationstreet for making me so welcome. As dream jobs go .. this one was hard to beat."
Fans flooded the comments with surprise as they hoped Amy's stint on the Cobbles would be longer.

Amanda commented: "Aw I hope you come back again soon."
