Coronation Street Sam Aston has shared the wonderful news that he has become a dad again. The actor, who has grown up on screen playing Chesney Brown, has welcomed a baby girl with his wife Briony.
The couple, who married in 2019, have shared their joy at the arrival of a baby girl - sister to their 20-month-old son Sonny - and told of their happiness.
They told OK! on Wednesday (May 11): "Our beautiful girl has arrived," before sharing a picture of the adorable newborn in a babygrow saying "little sister" in pink writing with a bunny rabbit image above.

Briony has also shared the image to her Instagram page, where she has been flooded with congratulatory messages. Former Corrie star Tisha Merry, who played Steph Britton in the ITV soap, wrote: "Awww congratulations to you both!! I hope you’re all doing well! Lots of love."
Sam took to Instagram back in October to reveal his wife was pregnant again, sharing an adorable snap of Sonny standing alongside some pumpkins with a sign. The message read: "We're adding another pumpkin to our patch. Due Spring 2022."
It comes after the actor, who has played Chesney in Corrie for 19 years, and yoga teacher Briony saw Sonny arrive six weeks early on August 11, 2020, just over a year after the couple married in a stunning Cheshire ceremony.
And Sam got his fans talking back in February when they saw a snap of him and Sonny on his first holiday before they became a family of four. Briony took to Instagram with a snap of the three of them walking along the beach writing: "Hello Sonny’s 1st holiday & hello 3rd trimester."
However, it was Briony's later post of her husband and son together that sparked the most reaction. Sonny was his dad's double as the pair looked straight into the camera with a smile. Writing to her 13.4k followers, Briony said: "Everyone says he looks just like his daddy, I just don’t see it." But we're certainly sensing a bit of sarcasm.
Sam, 28, married childhood sweetheart Briony in May 2019 with the wedding attended by many of his castmates including Katie, Brooke Vincent, Alan Halsall, and Jennie McAlpine, who plays his on-screen sister Fizz in the ITV soap. The romantic nuptials were held on Stock Farm on the edge of Tatton Park in Cheshire.
The soap star had taken to one knee and proposed in summer 2017 in front of over 250 people at the annual charity golf dinner that he hosts with co-stars Alan and Andy Whyment at the Worsley Park Marriott Hotel in Salford.
The couple have known each other since they were young and started chatting on MSN as smitten teenagers but Sam ended up ending the relationship because they were 'very young'. However, the pair found a way back to each other years later and the rest, as they say, is history.
