Jodie Prenger pulled out all the stops as she headed out for her first Coronation Street Christmas bash. The actress, who joined the soap earlier this year as Glenda Shuttleworth, was dubbed 'sensational' as she hit the town with her co-stars to celebrate the festive season.
Theatre and TV star Jodie took to Instagram to share a selfie of herself and new co-star , actor and director Robert Shaw Cameron, who has recently joined the show as Sean Tully's love interest, Laurence.
The pair could be seen in a lift as they headed out into Manchester's city centre with Robert giving his best blue steele in the mirror while donning a striped shirt and matching dark blue trousers. But all eyes were on Jodie who sparkled from head-to-toe in a plunging black gown.
"Getting ready," the soap star, whose red locks had been styled into classic Hollywood curls, captioned the snap of the pair at the Moxy Manchester City. And the compliments quickly came flooding in.
Corrie star Lisa George, who stars as Beth Sutherland in the ITV soap, wrote: " Look at you glamour puss!!" Former Corrie star Catherine Tyldesley said: "Omg! SENSATIONAL," alongside a string a flame emojis. Atomic Kitten singer Natasha Hamilton replied: " Oh hello." Former Emmerdale actress Natalie Anderson added: " Beeeeautiful!!!"
And fans were agreeing with them. @mandasueheller said: "What an absolute stunner." @barrowette wrote: "You look amazing Jodie ." @philmurphy88 commented: "Look at you Miss P! Smokin’." @maria_mi80 replied: "Wow you look extra gorgeous have a great time."

Along with Jodie and Robert, many of the ITV soap's famous faces headed out to Manchester's Science and Industry Museum to celebrate another successful year on screen as well as enjoy the most wonderful time of the year.
And it was only six months ago that the cast enjoyed another big celebration as, because of Covid, they held last year's Christmas shindig in the middle of Summer. But ti didn't stop the stars of Weatherfield from heading out in force in their best glam for what was sure to be a lively bash.
Also among those arriving at the annual event was Alison King (Carla Connor), Sally Dynever (Sally Metcalfe), Rob Mallard (Danial Osbourne), Jack P Shepherd (David Platt), Sam Aston (Chesney Brown), Jane Danson (Leanne Battersby), and Georgia Taylor (Toyah Habeeb).
