Former Coronation Street star Ryan Thomas has reunited with his on-screen mum Sue Cleaver who he worked alongside for 16 years. The Corrie actors got together in a restaurant joined by Ryan's children Roman and Lilah Rae, who he shares with fiancé and former TOWIE star Lucy Mecklenburgh.
Ryan, 38, made his debut on the ITV soap back in 2000 when he was just 16-years-old as Jason Grimshaw. He was the son of Eileen Grimshaw, played by Sue Cleaver, and the pair spent more than a decade on the cobbles together as mum and son until Ryan quit the soap in 2016.
Since his exit from Corrie, Ryan has appeared in panto, featured in Australian soap opera Neighbours, won Celebrity Big Brother and took part The Games and Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls, where he met his fiancé Lucy. Ryan was previously in a relationship with his former Corrie co-star Tina O'Brien who he has his daughter Scarlett with.

Ryan said it 'brought back so many fond memories' meeting Sue and having his children there with him.
The actor shared some lovely snaps of Sue with his family with his 1.1 million Instagram followers.
He wrote: "Today brought back so many fond memories, I was just a kid at 16 yrs old when I met this woman and she played my on screen mum for 16 yrs and here we are 22 yrs later with my own kids."
Ryan also revealed that he was 'still in shock' after discovering his on-screen mum had now joined Instagram.
"I love you so much @officialsuecleaver but I’m still in shock you’ve joined Instagram," he added.
Sue, who continues to play Eileen Grimshaw on the soap after starting the role in 2000, won praise for her portrayal of Eileen after her son Todd, formerly played by Bruno Langley, announced he was gay.
Also sharing the photos with Ryan's family, Sue wrote: "Such a brilliant day with Ryan and Lucy, truly blessed to have them in my life."
Corrie fans were full of praise for the reunion, with many hoping this means a comeback for Jason Grimshaw whilst others rushed to compliment Sue's look.
