US President Donald Trump on Thursday made a series of strong remarks about Iran, claiming that the country's military capabilities had been severely degraded.

Speaking to reporters, Trump said Iran no longer had an effective navy or air force and asserted that its leadership structure had been “wiped out.”
He also criticised media coverage of the conflict, accusing what he called the “fake news” of portraying Iran as performing well despite the damage it had suffered.
“They have 159 ships and all of them lie at the bottom of the ocean. We have taken pictures of them down there.”
