Italy have won six and drawn three of their games under Spalletti and come into the tournament feeling they have much more of a chance of going deep than many pundits give them credit for – remember, they haven’t conceded a goal in more than 300 minutes. Albania, meanwhile, struck three times against Liechtenstein and Azerbaijan in their final friendlies and will go all out to do their country proud.
The teams are in and Gianluca Scamacca gets the nod for Italy up front, ahead Mateo Retegui, who is on the bench. Lorenzo Pellegrini, Federico Chiesa and Nicolo Barella all start, with Riccardo Calafiori and Alessandro Bastoni at center-back. For Albania, Armando Broja starts up front, with Taulant Seferi also looking for goals in attacking areas. Nedim Bajrami, Kristjan Asllani and Ylber Yamaldani also start.
