New Delhi: The Income Tax ‘survey’ at the BBC offices in Delhi and Mumbai over allegations of international taxation and transfer pricing irregularities is gaining political momentum. After the Congress, the Samajwadi Party has also targeted the Central government over the survey. SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav called it a declaration of 'ideological emergency'.

The Samajwadi Party also took to twitter, “The BJP government is destroying democracy! The raid by the Income Tax Department at the BBC offices is highly condemnable. Does the BJP government want to suppress every voice that will speak out against the repression and oppression by BJP or their leaders?"
