The big day is here! By that we mean the 7th anniversary of PUBG: Battlegrounds. To celebrate, there's a lot of events and rewards that everyone can enjoy. There's a web event, Special Drops, and even a screenshot event. Of course, there's the exclusive Partner Drops.
Today we'll take a look at what being done within the game to celebrate this anniversary.
Gift Box and Cupcakes
The fun begins with players being invited to gather the cupcakes that's been sprinkled all around the starting island. After getting them, simply toss them at a gift box and get a rather delightful surprise. Krafton says in a post this is their way of saying thanks to all players. By the way, gift boxes and cupcakes vanish once a match starts.
The gift boxes and cupcakes are accessible on the starting islands of:
- Erangel
- Miramar
- Sanhok
- Vikendi
- Taego
- Deston
- Rondo
- Paramo
- Karakin
Sky-High Celebrations
This year's party also starts with a big bang! As the aircraft hovers before the battle, keep an eye out for the fireworks display that's sure to make anyone's jaw drop. The fireworks go off before the option to drop from the plane becomes available. Starting planes also bear anniversary banners.
There's a Party at Erangel
For the 7th anniversary, some of the game's iconic locations have been given a party makeover. The school and cafeterias of Erangel in particular have been turned into venues with 7th-anniversary-themes. The vending machines cafeterias are feeling generous and offering a 7% chance to give out a reward of seven Energy Drink. The vending machines are interactable using the interaction key.
A Festive Facelift
Players can look forward to seeing Care Packages being wrapped in the spirit of the celebration. Various maps have been decorated with anniversary decorations. These include Billboards and digital screens which light up. The maps are:
- Erangel
- Miramar
- Sanhok
- Vikendi
- Taego
- Deston
- Rondo
- Paramo
- Karakin
