Rangers manager Philippe Clement feels that it's necessary for the Ibrox board to back him in the January transfer window.
The Light Blues currently trail Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic by 11 points and sit third in the table, behind Aberdeen.
Scoring goals has been a regular issue when on league duty as Rangers' tally of 18 is actually bettered by five other top-flight teams.
Promising forward Hamza Igamane was signed from FAR Rabat over the summer to battle it out with Cyriel Dessers and Danilo for an attacking spot.
But all three strikers have failed to consistently show their clinical touch, and it's clearly an area that Clement has highlighted to the Rangers hierarchy if they are going to be more competitive throughout a gruelling schedule where they are balancing both domestic and European commitments.
Although, he did draw on the example of Celtic's Nicolas Kuhn, who has become one of the Premiership's most eye-catching players this season after initially being slated following his January arrival from Rapid Vienna.

“I’m not going to go into detail, that’s something to discuss with the board," the Rangers boss stated.
"I think we have other parts of the team to strengthen also [aside from forward players] to be competitive every three days. But those are things to discuss with the board. For sure, the funds haven’t been done yet but in the near future we need to see the reality of that.
“Do I feel we need to do it in January to achieve what we want? I think it’s necessary that we can do things. Just like every team wants and every manager wants. So we’ll see what’s possible.
“I want us to score more goals - that’s a major one. We don’t concede much but we have to score more goals and be more lethal in the final third.
“You always want to be better but in the last couple of weeks we’ve had a lot of good chances that were saved. But we also have a lot of new players in that area also.
“He needed time after his transfer to get rhythm with other players. We’re working on that with our guys. It’s about small details, getting confidence and goals. We’re creating more and more chances and that’s the way it has to continue.”
