The Alexander Isak to Arsenal transfer saga is heating up ahead of Monday's deadline.
Whilst the January window is fast approaching its end, the fact that it will remain open until 11pm on the 31st means there's plenty of time for Premier League clubs to wrap up any last-minute deals.
For Arsenal, this month has been dominated by departures so far. Sead Kolasinac and Calum Chambers have left permanently, whilst Pablo Mari, Folarin Balogun and Ainsley Maitland-Niles have sealed loan moves away.
Furthermore, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is attracting interest from Barcelona as well as Juventus and there's also talk of Eddie Nketiah joining Newcastle United.
But what about potential incomings?
Well, signing a new striker is a priority for Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and technical director Edu, although they've had to alter their plans after missing out to Juventus for Dusan Vlahovic.
Therefore, links to Real Sociedad's Alexander Isak have resurfaced.
For the Gunners to get a deal done they will most likely need to activate the €90million (£75.4million) release clause in the Sweden international's contract with the La Liga outfit.
Of course, this is a scenario that Arsenal are familiar with having done this to sign Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid in the 2020 summer transfer window.
And there's excitement building that the Gunners are about to repeat this trick.
As seen in the video above that has been uploaded to Twitter by @harveylong24 and @RiegerCris, Isak appears to have been 'spotted' in London alongside his Real Sociedad teammate Adnan Januzaj.
Naturally, this has prompted a big reaction from Arsenal on social media.
Some are putting two and two together, and perhaps getting five, as there's a theory that Isak is in the UK in order to wrap up a move to the Gunners before the January transfer window closes.
