Sabri Lamouchi has bid farewell to Cardiff City fans as he said it had been an "honour" to serve the club.
Lamouchi was appointed in January with a short-term brief of keeping the club in the Championship, a goal he achieved with two games to spare in the end.
The Frenchman met with the Bluebirds' owner Vincent Tan in London last Thursday to discuss his and the club's future, however Cardiff have decided to go in another direction and confirmed in a statement on Tuesday that he would leave his post when his contract ends next month.

Lamouchi built a great affinity with Cardiff fans, doing the ayatollah on cue and celebrating raucously with them when the team secured a win, typically away from home.
And in a post on his social media, has thanked Bluebirds fans for their support during his four months at the club.
"As my journey as coach at @cardiffcityfc comes to a close, I would like to thank everyone at the club," Lamouchi wrote on Instagram.
"It has been an honour to be entrusted with this brief mission, and to have successfully fulfilled it. The players fought their best to keep the club at this level, and I hope this will be a starting point for next season.
"While our paths may diverge, I feel grateful for the opportunity that was given to me, and wish everyone the very best in the future. To the fans, thank you for your support everywhere we played, it meant a lot to me.
"Sabri."
Cardiff state that the process of looking for Lamouchi's successor has already begun. It will be their third manager this calendar year.
