Archer shot into state cabinet amid new political clash

Former federal Liberal firebrand Bridget Archer has been parachuted into Jeremy Rockliff's cabinet as his minority state government readies for another parliamentary showdown.

Ms Archer and fellow ex-federal MP and army veteran Gavin Pearce have been elevated straight onto Mr Rockliff's frontbench after their election to Tasmanian parliament.
