PSV EINDHOVEN star Joey Veerman has revealed the Ibrox atmosphere during the Champions League play-off clash was so loud it "hurts your ears".
The former Rangers transfer target - with Steven Gerrard heavily linked with a move for the then Herenveen man - lined up against Giovanni van Bronckhorst's men in the crucial first-leg tie.
Veerman is a key figure at PSV and was highlighted as a danger man ahead of the first-leg which finished in a 2-2 draw ahead of the match in the Netherlands next week.
After the match Veerman was full of praise for the Ibrox atmosphere as he detailed the deafening noise inside the stadium.
Speaking to RTL7, Veerman said: "The atmosphere was nice here, it just hurts your ears a little when they're all screaming. That's what we want in Eindhoven next week."
And ahead of the second-leg, Veerman reckons PSV are in a good position - even if he reckons his side could have "decided it earlier".
He added: "We should have won, so this hurts a bit.
"We take a good result with us, but I still have the feeling that we could have decided it earlier. The feeling that prevails now is that we are going to take them next week.
"In the second part of the first half we had a hard time. But in the second half we had them under pressure and they didn't know what to do at all, we have to build on that."
