Changwon (S Korea): Indian men's trap team of Prithviraj Tondaiman, Vivaan Kapoor and Bhowneesh Mendiratta won silver medal at the ISSF Shooting World Cup here on Wednesday.
Team India lost to Slovakia 2-6 the gold medal match to settle for a silver. In the 72-shot qualification round, the Indian trio top scored with 213 points, just one ahead of second placed Slovakia.
On the other hand, Indian men and women rifle team ensured medal by setting up a gold medal clash with host Korea. Both men and women team topped the qualification with 629.7 and 631.5 respectively.
After trap men's team silver, India tied with China in the medal tally with four medals ( 2 golds, a silver and bronze). Serbia currently placed on top with 3 gold medals.
Earlier in the day, India added two medal to its kitty after Mehuli Ghosh and Shahu Tushar Mane clinched 10m Air Rifle mixed team gold and Shiva Narwal and Palak pocketed the bronze medal in the 10m Air Pitol mixed team event. (UNI)
