Israeli warplanes conducted a series of airstrikes on Friday, targeting 'military buildings' utilized by Hezbollah fighters in southern Lebanon, as reported by the Israel Defense Forces. The airstrikes specifically focused on areas such as Aita al-Shaab and Taybeh in southern Lebanon. IDF spokesperson for Arab media, Avichay Adraee, confirmed the operations.
During the day, Lebanon fired several shells towards the Upper Galilee region, although no casualties were reported. In response, IDF forces retaliated by targeting the sources of the incoming fire, as stated by Adraee.
Prior to the Israeli airstrikes, Hezbollah launched 40 rockets from Lebanon towards northern Israel on Friday evening. The militant group claimed responsibility for the rocket attacks.
