Recent Israeli strikes in Damascus, Syria, have resulted in a tragic loss of life and injuries. According to state media SANA, fifteen individuals were killed, and sixteen others were injured in the attacks. The strikes, which took place in the upscale Mezzah neighborhood in the capital and the Qudsaya area in the Damascus countryside, targeted several residential buildings.
Syrian state media reported that among the casualties were women and children, highlighting the devastating impact of the strikes on civilians. The Israeli military stated that the targets of the strikes were linked to the Islamic Jihad in Syria and that significant damage was inflicted on the terrorist organization's command center and operatives.
