Iran has initiated a five-day registration period for individuals interested in running in the upcoming presidential election scheduled for June 28. Prospective candidates must be between 40 to 75 years old with a master's degree and are subject to approval by Iran's Guardian Council. The election follows the tragic death of former President Ebrahim Raisi in a helicopter crash earlier this month, along with seven others. The registration process will determine the final list of candidates for the election.
