Israeli police have announced that DNA tests conducted on the body of an individual killed in an operation in Gaza have confirmed the identity of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar. The results of the DNA test were revealed by the police's forensics department, which found a match for the confirmed identification of Sinwar.

The Israeli police spokesperson stated that the DNA test conclusively identified the deceased individual as Yahya Sinwar, a prominent figure within the Hamas organization. Sinwar's death marks a significant development in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
