Israeli PM Netanyahu Vows To Eliminate Hamas In Rafah

Benjamin Netanyaho

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a strong statement on Tuesday, declaring that Israeli troops will not be deterred from entering Rafah in southern Gaza to eliminate Hamas units believed to be present there. Speaking at a recruitment event at a military base, Netanyahu emphasized the resolve of the Israeli forces, stating, 'We will complete the elimination of the Hamas battalions, including in Rafah. There is no force in the world that will stop us.'

Netanyahu further asserted that despite various challenges, the mission to eradicate Hamas from the region will be accomplished. He mentioned that a date had been set for the operation in Rafah, although the exact commencement date was not disclosed.

During the event, Netanyahu outlined the objectives of the Israeli military, which include the return of abductees, the elimination of Hamas, and ensuring that Gaza no longer poses a threat to Israel. He also highlighted the broader strategic significance of defeating Hamas, describing it as a crucial step in countering the influence of Iran's 'evil axis' that seeks to harm Israel.

The Prime Minister's remarks underscore the seriousness with which Israel views the presence of Hamas in Gaza and its commitment to addressing the security threats posed by the militant group. The statements made by Netanyahu signal a firm stance on national security and the protection of Israeli interests in the region.
