The Israeli military has conducted an intense aerial offensive targeting Hezbollah assets across Lebanon. According to spokesperson Daniel Hagari, approximately 1,300 Hezbollah assets have been struck so far, with the operation ongoing.
Hagari revealed that among the targets were various munitions, including 'cruise missiles' with a long reach, mid-range rockets capable of traveling up to 200 kilometers, and rockets equipped with explosive warheads. These strategic munitions were reportedly located within civilian areas, posing a threat to Israeli citizens.
Regarding the casualties from the strikes, the Lebanese health ministry has reported at least 356 deaths, including 24 children and 42 women. Hagari stated that many of the casualties were terrorists who were in close proximity to the weapons at the time of the strikes.
Hagari highlighted the use of 'heavy rockets' similar to those used in a previous attack in Majdal Shams, where 12 children were killed. Israel has attributed the attack to Hezbollah, although the group has denied involvement.
The military spokesperson indicated that there would be an update on the number of militants killed in the operation at a later time.
