The Israeli military reported intercepting an aerial target that breached Israeli airspace from the east early Sunday morning. This interception came after a significant barrage of rockets originating from southern Lebanon overnight. The military disclosed that approximately 85 rockets were fired around 6:30 a.m. local time, following an initial volley of around 20 rockets earlier in the night.

Upon the sounding of sirens in the southern Golan area, the air force successfully intercepted the suspicious aerial target that crossed into Israeli territory. Concerns were raised about potential fallen shrapnel from the interception, prompting rocket and missile sirens. Fortunately, no damage or injuries were reported as a result of these events.

The IDF continued its operations by conducting airstrikes on numerous Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon. Fighter jets were deployed to strike dozens of terror targets, including launchers and military structures across multiple areas in southern Lebanon. This ongoing military action followed a total of 290 strikes that had been carried out since the previous day, marking one of the most intense periods of military activity since the attacks on October 7.
