Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon have resulted in a significant loss of life and injuries. According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, at least 16 people were killed and 59 others were injured in the airstrikes that took place on Saturday. The majority of the casualties occurred in southern Lebanon and Nabatiyeh, with additional injuries reported in the Beqaa region.
These airstrikes are part of Israel's intensified campaign against Hezbollah, which began on September 16. Since then, the toll on human lives has been devastating, with a total of 1,802 people killed and 9,330 injured, as reported by the health ministry.
The violence has not abated, as Israel continued its heavy bombardment on Sunday. Strikes were carried out in the southern suburbs of Beirut and in towns near the Lebanese-Israeli border, further escalating the already dire situation.
