Israel has targeted Iran's railways and bridges after warning people in the war-torn country to avoid using trains.
Railways in the cities of Karaj and Qazvin were bombed, while bridges in Kashan and Tabriz-Zanjan were also destroyed in the latest round of attacks in the ongoing Middle Eastern conflict.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said: “We are targeting the railways and bridges used by the Revolutionary Guards. They use them to transport raw materials for weapons, and the operatives who attack us, the US, and also the countries of the region.
“We are crushing the terror regime in Iran... with even greater vigour and with increasing force.
“Yesterday, our pilots destroyed transport aircraft and dozens of helicopters at an Iranian Air Force base. Today they struck the railways and bridges used by the Revolutionary Guards.”
Earlier, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) had issued a warning to people in Iran to avoid using trains on Tuesday, as US president Donald Trump’s deadline for a ceasefire deal looms.
In a post shared on the military's Farsi social media account, the Israeli military told Iranians “for the sake of your security” to “refrain from using and travelling by train” throughout the country until 21.00 Iran time. It added that "presence on trains and near railway lines endangers your life".
But this warning would have been seen by very few people in the country due to the weeks-long internet blackout in Iran.
It comes as Trump threatened to strike civilian energy facilities, such as power plants, if Tehran does not agree to a deal and reopen the Strait of Hormuz by 8pm Washington time on Tuesday (1am Wednesday BST). Politicians, legal experts, and the UN have warned that these threats could amount to war crimes if they are carried out.

On Monday, Iranian state media reported that the regime had rejected the US administration’s 45-day ceasefire deal, saying there needs to be a permanent end to the war.
The war, which erupted on 28 February with US-Israeli airstrikes on the Iranian capital, has killed thousands of people across the Middle East.
The highest death toll is in Iran with more than 3,500 people killed, according to US-based rights group HRANA. It said 1,616 of those were civilians, including at least 244 children.
The conflict is showing no sign of slowing down, with fresh strikes from both Israel and Iran across the region on Tuesday.
Overnight the Israeli military said it completed a wave of airstrikes targeting “infrastructure in Tehran” linked to the regime.

It also struck three different petrochemical complexes in separate attacks in Iran on Monday.
These were on a plant located in Shiraz in southwestern Iran, along with the South Pars petrochemical plant in Asaluyeh in the south of Iran, and the Marvdasht Petrochemical Complex in the Fars province.
Thirteen people were killed by a US-Israeli strike overnight on a residential area in the Tehran province, reported IRGC-affiliated Fars news agency.
Six of those killed in the area were children, according to the agency. The Sharif University of Technology in central Tehran was also damaged in a strike on Monday.
It follows the killing of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) intelligence chief, Majid Khademi, at the start of the week.

In Israel, four people were killed after an Iranian ballistic missile hit their home in the northern city of Israel on Monday.
Meanwhile in Lebanon, the Israeli military said on Tuesday it had completed the deployment of ground troops along a “defence line” in the south.
"At this stage, IDF soldiers have completed their deployment along the anti-tank missile defence line and continue to operate in the area in order to strengthen the forward defensive posture and remove threats to the residents and communities of northern Israel," a military statement said.
It follows a series of mass evacuation orders by Israel, displacing swathes of the population, with the latest one ordering residents of 41 towns in southern Lebanon to evacuate and move north of the Zahrani River.
At least eight people were also killed in Israeli air and drone strikes overnight in the south and east of Lebanon, the country’s National News Agency (NNA) reported.
