The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted airstrikes on several Hezbollah infrastructure sites in southern Lebanon on Wednesday. According to the IDF statement, the military targeted a Hezbollah launcher and infrastructure locations in Halta, Kfarkela, Odaisseh, and Chama.
The strikes were in response to around 20 projectiles that crossed from Lebanon into Israel's Upper Galilee region. The IDF managed to intercept some of the incoming projectiles, preventing any reported injuries.
Hezbollah, an Iran-backed militant group, claimed responsibility for launching rockets at Israeli military sites in northern Israel throughout the day. The attacks were purportedly carried out in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza.
On the same day, Hezbollah announced the deaths of at least seven of its members, although specific details surrounding the circumstances of their deaths were not disclosed.
