MARGAO: FC Goa missed plenty but scored one that was enough to put it across East Bengal 1-0 and end their five-match winless streak in the Indian Super League at the Nehru Stadium, Fatorda, here on Wednesday.
Noah Sadaoui scored the only goal of the match in the 42nd minute for Goa. Substitute Udanta Singh came closest for the second eight minutes from time when his header hit the upright.
The win helped Goa solidify their fourth position with 32 points from 17 games.
They are three points behind league leaders Odisha FC who have played a game more.
East Bengal are ninth with 18 points from as many games.
