IShowSpeed Joins Ghana Doc: YouTuber becomes producer on The Eyes Of Ghana; one-night US-Canada run in 2026

IShowSpeed Ghana Barack Michelle Obama Canada Kwame Nkrumah Streaming United States

YouTube star Darren Watkins Jr., better known as IShowSpeed, has joined Barack and Michelle Obama’s documentary project The Eyes of Ghana as a producer. The film tells the story of Ghanaian cameraman Christian Tsui Hesse, also known as Chris Hesse, who recorded important moments in the life of Ghana’s first president, Kwame Nkrumah. After visiting Ghana earlier in 2026, IShowSpeed said the country felt like home to him. The documentary will reach participating cinemas in the United States and Canada for a special one-night screening on October 28, 2026.
