Workplace messaging service Slack appears to be down for thousands of users.
At the time of writing, more than 5,000 reports have been filed on DownDetector. The first issues were reported shortly before 10am on Thursday and were still affecting users as of 10.40am.
Issues include messages not sending, or a delay in messages being sent. Furthermore, some messages are sent twice, or sent in bold.
Slack is aware of the incident, explaining on Slack Status: “Users may be experiencing trouble with sending messages in Slack. We’re investigating and will let you know as soon as we know more. We appreciate your patience in the meantime.”
The company also responded to a user experiencing issues, saying: “Hey, Slack is experiencing some issues at the moment, please keep an eye [on] our status page as this has been updated now to reflect it: https://status.slack.com. Sorry for any trouble caused.”

Messaging appears to be the only aspect of Slack facing issues: other elements like search, log-in, huddles, and workflows appear to be working.
