At this point in his career, veteran Boston Celtics point guard Marcus Smart has become the heart and soul of the team that drafted him No. 6 overall with the first draft pick from the haul that former team president Danny Ainge got for Boston’s last contending core in 2014.
But just how important is he to the history of the team overall? In the grander scheme of things among the most storied team in the league, there are many hallowed names who came before, many of whom won far more on the court than Smart did — at least early in his NBA career.
Is the Flower Mound native a top 50 all-time Celtic? Top 25? Could he end his time in Boston inside of the top 10?
