An Irishman who died following a car crash in the USA has been named locally.
23-year-old Daniel Slattery from Rathgar, Dublin, was in Oregon when his car flipped and burst into flames.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, while his 24-year-old friend from Crumlin remains in critical condition.

The incident occurred at 4:31am on Sunday, July 3rd, with police in the area confirming that it took place on the edge of the town and close to Highway 26.
They received reports of a rollover single-car crash near Tanasbourne Drive and Stucki Avenue, Dublin Live reports.
Their statement said: "When Officers arrived, they discovered the vehicle on its top and fully engulfed on fire. One patient was extricated by Officers and transported to a local hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.
"A second occupant was deceased. The cause of the crash is unknown."
Both men were understood to be living and working in the USA.
