Double murder suspect Ruth Lawrence is on her way home from South Africa tonight escorted by Irish detectives after being extradited to stand trial in Dublin.
Ruth, 42, left Ireland following the brutal killings shocked the nation in 2014 after the bodies of two close friends were found with gunshot wounds to the head and buried in a shallow grave.
She and fellow murder suspect Neville van der Westhuizen, 40, her alleged lover at the time, are believed to have travelled to his native South Africa shortly after the killings and both worked as tattoo artists travelling the Rainbow Nation for work.
