An Irish punter's ambitious Euromillions wager returned a huge prize after Tuesday night's draw.
A Dublin punter won’t be forgetting their Tuesday night in a hurry after a flutter on their lucky Lotto numbers paid off in the shape of a five-figure windfall.
The anonymous punter placed a €0.50 cent Super Yankee in their local BoyleSports shop to try and overcome mammoth odds in the EuroMillions main draw taking place that evening amounting to a stake of €13.

The customer selected the numbers 8, 18, 19, 21 and 27 to be drawn and with four out of the five numbers rolling out of the machine, they landed a big pay out.
They missed out on an even more mouth-watering amount of €340,513 by just one number.
Only number 8 let the Dublin winner down, but the four numbers still overcame big odds and were enough to see their stake transformed into a mega total of €19,805.50.
Sarah Kinsella, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: “We send huge congratulations to our Dublin customer for walking off nearly €20,000 richer this week. They were aiming high with modest stakes, but their ambition has paid off and we wish them happy spending.”
