An Irish pub has come out with a public apology after being branded “worse than Cromwell” by a very unhappy customer.
The punter ordered a pint of Guinness and called it “an insult to the Irish” as they annihilated the Galway pub with a one-star rating.
The pub-goer paid a visit to the bar last week, and in their account online said everything was going well until they were handed their pin, according to Galway Beo.

Much to their horror, the pub had served them their Guinness in a Coors glass, which they said was “a sin".
They wrote: "This is a sin... any good Irish person knows the unspoken civil law to respect the Guinness and its glass."
They immediately complained to staff working in the venue and were met with a response that surprised them - there was no sympathy as they had still received their pint of Guinness.
Their complaint continued: "They then tried to charge me for the rectification of the issue and after I refused to pay they gave me a Guinness glass and forced me to pour the Guinness into it, absolutely destroying the pint."
Further skewering the bar, they added: "This place is worse than Cromwell and has less regard for Irish culture."
The pub then responded to the review days later, and apologised to the customer calling the feedback "terribly disappointing".
They said: "Thank you for taking the time to post a review on TripAdvisor regarding your recent visit and apologies that your experience was such a negative one.
"When you have a moment could you contact me with the date of your visit and a rough time- this information will allow me to fully follow-up on this terribly disappointing feedback.
"Service like you received is not acceptable and I can assure you that this matter will be addressed with the team.
"Thank you for bringing this to my attention and I look forward to hearing from you."
Unlike most beers, how Guinness is stored and poured makes a huge difference to the quality of the pint.
