International superstar Kanye West is being sued by his former Galway business manager for nearly €5 million after a very heated confrontation.
Tuam native Thomas St John, who is head of the TSJ international accounting firm, has accused the rap icon of allegedly refusing to pay fees after the Galway man was hired as his business manager back in March. The accountant, who is based in Los Angeles, is suing the star for €4.5m.
He claims that West got "heated and aggressive" and started swearing at him after St. John confronted him about a €300,000-per-month retainer fee, Galway Beo reports.

The lawsuit states: "He screamed at Mr. St. John and made clear he no longer wanted to work with him. When confronted by the 18-month commitment that had just been made, Mr. West stated words to the effect of 'The 18-month term was bulls***' and 'You’re insane for even thinking I would stick to it."
An American publication obtained court documents claiming that St. John had secured an 18-month contract with West which was described as "assurance that Defendants would not simply walk away from the business relationship".
However, the Tuam man has claimed that west did in fact walk away after only paying three months worth of service at a cost of €900,000 with the lawsuit claiming that West has an unpaid balance of €900,000 to October of this year and which will add up to an extra €3.6million by November of next year when the contract was set to end.
