There were celebrations in the National Lottery winners’ room today when a lucky player collected their huge prize.
The Dublin woman scooped the top prize in the Lotto 5-4-3-2-1 game.
She correctly matched five of the six winning numbers in the main Lotto draw on June 28, which resulted in a life-changing prize of €125,000.
The lucky ticket, costing just €1, was bought online.

Lotto 5-4-3-2-1 is a game based upon the results of Lotto, Lotto Plus 1 and Lotto Plus 2 draws. In this game players decide how many numbers they play, predicting between one and five of the numbers drawn in Lotto, Lotto Plus 1 or Lotto Plus 2.
The top prize in the 6 Number game is a guaranteed €125,000 while the 7 Number game is guaranteed to be €40,000.
The winner claimed she only recently starting playing the 5-4-3-2-1 game and couldn’t believe her eyes when she opened an email from the National Lottery stating she’d won big.
She made the hilarious assumption that it had to be a “massive mistake”.
“I assumed that there must have been a massive mistake. It’s just incredible to think I’ve won €125,000 after spending just €1. I’m still in complete shock to be honest and will probably need some time to make a plan for the money and wrap my head around the win,” she said.
