If you're looking to fly to Bali in August, flight prices will set you back at least €1,258. Or, if you opt to wait a year and plan your trip, flights start from €1,649 in July 2023.
She told Dublin Live: "It was actually quite easy. There wasn't anything crazy I had to do. I literally went on Skyscanner and booked my flight to Thailand, that was €200. Once I got to Thailand, I went back on Skyscanner and looked for flights to Bali, which were €70 one way."
Jenni did everything through Skyscanner. When it comes to travelling, she says it's something that she likes to do, although it's not always cheap.
"I always try to get the best value", Jenni continued. "Initially, I was just heading to Thailand. I booked my flights nine months in advance for one way. Once I got there, I thought it's cheap for us to travel to Europe from Ireland, places like France, Amsterdam, Brussels.
"You can be lucky and get flights for a tenner because they're in Europe whereas someone from America would pay more. I knew Thailand and Bali were both in Asia, and I thought flights would be cheap.
"I knew I was definitely going because Bali was on my bucket list, it's a place I always wanted to go, but the flights put me off, you'd be looking to pay two grand one-way, and I didn't want to pay that much. When I saw it'd be €70, I booked the flights straight away."
Jenni said she "definitely saved over €1,200", but the "route was very long".
She said: "Bali is very far. It was a long journey. The flight to Thailand was 14 hours. We spent a few weeks there. Thailand to Bali was five hours.
"We stayed in Seminyak in Bali. It was a tourist spot with hotels, restaurants, parties, and nice beaches. We felt it was a bit too much. We wanted something more relaxed, so we went to Nusadua, it's more for couples and families, it's more luxurious.
"Then we went to Ubud. It's more central - a lot of the activities and sites are there. We went to a monkey forest, the swing, we went to see a waterfall too. We went to a cool pool in the jungle, it was three storeys."
Jenni said that the ten night stay "was definitely my best holiday so far" because everything was cheap.
She added: "Food in Bali is really, really cheap. You can't compare it to Ireland. You'd get a full dinner for €2.50. Drinks were really cheap as well.
"I had a fantastic time. The people from Bali, the locals are lovely, so welcoming. They make you feel at home. They're very respectful and nice.
"The food and beaches were amazing. It was great to be able to relax. You can get a bit of everything. You can have a party holiday or relax. I'm so happy I got to experience it."
