Irish fake tan lovers have been left 'devastated' after hearing of a new EU directive that restricts the active ingredients essential to the darkening processes in tans.
The new rule will take effect on March 31 and will mean an end to ultra-dark fake tan products.
The directive will limit the use of dihydroxyacetone (DHA), the colourant that darkens the skin, to a maximum of 10% in a bottle of fake tan.
