With IPL 2026 reaching its grand finale, the race for the coveted Orange Cap has become one of the tournament's biggest talking points.
Despite Rajasthan Royals bowing out of the competition, teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi continues to lead the charts. The 15-year-old prodigy lit up Qualifier 2 with a blistering 96 off 47 balls in New Chandigarh, taking his season tally to 776 runs from 16 matches.
However, the battle is far from over.
IPL 2026 Orange Cap Updated Standings
Gujarat Titans openers Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan remain firmly in contention after another match-winning performance in Qualifier 2. Gill's magnificent century lifted him to second place with 722 runs, while Sudharsan's composed half-century took his tally to 710 runs.
With Gujarat Titans set to face Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL 2026 final in Ahmedabad, both batters will have one last chance to surpass Sooryavanshi and claim the tournament's highest run-scorer award.
