NEW DELHI: Chennai Super Kings opener and skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad on Wednesday overtook Royal Challengers Bengaluru's Virat Kohli to become the leading run-scorer in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League.

After scoring Ruturaj Gaikwad 62 against Punjab Kings in match 49, Ruturaj surpassed Kohli (500) to become the new Orange Cap holder.
