IPL 2022: Powerplay and death areas to improve, says KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer

PUNE: Kolkata Knight Riders' (KKR) skipper Shreyas Iyer admitted that his team was completely outplayed both in bowling and batting during the 75-run defeat at the hands of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in their Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium here on Saturday.

Lucknow came up with a clinical performance with bat and ball. A quickfire fifty from Quinton de Kock (50 off 29) and a vital knock by Deepak Hooda (41 off 27) guided LSG to 176 for 7 in 20 overs, after being invited to bat first. The likes of Krunal Pandya (25 off 27) and Marcus Stoinis (28 off 14) also made some valuable contributions with the bat.
