Invincible season 4 episode 6's post-credits scene has everyone panicking, until the punchline

Invincible season 4.

The latest episode of Invincible season 4 features a fake-out post-credits scene that had everyone briefly scared – before the punchline was revealed.

The following will contain spoilers for episode 6, so turn back now if you're not up to date!

If you're still reading, you'll know that, in the post-credits scene, the camera slowly zooms in on the grave of Conquest. Dramatic music begins to build in the background, as if Conquest is going to burst free at any moment. Could it be…?

As it turns out, no, because the scene suddenly cuts back to the distance, in total silence, and even a puff of air blows by to show how completely undisturbed the grave is in reality. Just a little joke, then.

"Invincible was funny as hell for this post-credit scene I remembered that I read the comic LMAO," said one fan.

"Bro that shit made me actually think Conquest was back again," agreed someone else, with another saying: "They got me good I was like no way they about to deviate from the comic with him being alive."

"They had me ngl I was like 'he's alive?!?!? This wasn't in the book!!!!!'" echoes another fan. "I thought for a second that they were actually bringing him back," says another person.

But Conquest, voiced by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, looks to be staying dead in the show for real this time (Mark thought he'd killed him back in the Invincible season 3 ending, after all). Conquest was killed in last week's episode, choked to death by Mark after a pretty gross-out battle.

Invincible continues weekly, and you can check out our Invincible season 4 release schedule to keep up to date. For more, see our Invincible season 4 review, or our roundup of the best shows on Prime Video.
