Invincible fans "can't believe" how gory Mark and Conquest's rematch was in season 4, episode 5: "It's so gross to watch"

Invincible.

Despite its cartoonish, colorful look, Invincible is very much an animated superhero show for adults – and boy, did it prove why in season 4, episode 5. Warning! This article contains massive spoilers...

In the latest installment, titled 'Give Us A Moment', we saw a recently-escaped Conquest (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) ambush Mark (Steven Yeun) and co in a Viltrumites cruiser. Naturally, the rematch to end all rematches quickly ensues and, well, things get bloody.

Mid-battle, Conquest actually disembowels Mark; punching his hand clean through the hero's stomach and pulling out his guts. Yikes! Thanks to his healing powers, he doesn't die fortunately, though, and manages to overpower Conquest, biting some of his fingers off before strangling the villain to death.

"Oh my god, this was the most brutal scene they were talking about... Conquest just fucking ripped and removed off Mark's [intestines] and its so gross to watch," one queasy viewer reacted on X, as another added: "That Invincible episode was HORRIFYING."

"This fight between Invincible and Conquest was absolutely insane! One of the most intense fight scenes I've ever seen. The animation WOAH," tweeted a third. "Also the voice acting was outstanding! Genuinely, how tf is Mark surviving that?"

"I'm surprised they kept the gore in that scene. I wanted to throw up when Conquest kept pulling out Mark's organs. This fight was BRUTAL," said a fourth.

Check out some more reactions below, but it's safe to say the consensus is "ew"...
