POLICE have launched an investigation after a teenager was raped in a park in Fife.
Officers said they received reports of the “serious sexual assault” of an 18-year-old girl on Saturday.
The incident occurred in the Volunteers Green area of Kirkcaldy between 10.30pm and 11.45pm.
Police said that enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.
A spokesperson for the force commented: “An investigation is underway after police received a report of a serious sexual assault on an 18-year-old woman in the Volunteers Green area of Kirkcaldy.
“The incident occurred between 10.30pm and 11.45pm on Saturday, September 7 2024. Enquiries are ongoing.”
