"All are welcome to attend this exciting and colourful event, which will feature music, street performances and poetry to celebrate International Women’s Day.
"We are delighted to welcome speeches from Irish Language activist Grian Ní Dhaimhín, Cara Hannon from Supporting Women Newry, the Rainbow Project, Sex Worker advocacy and many more local representatives who embody what it means to be a woman in 2022.
"Join us to celebrate the women of Northern Ireland who deserve a future free from misogyny and violence. Everyone is welcome at this event, but we do respectfully request no political flyering."
The celebration of International Women's Day will include many other events in the city.
Sandinos Bar will be hosting 'Femme Sesh' on Friday, March 4, with The Henry Girls headlining the evening, and including performances from other incredibly talented women including Sister Ghost, Eileen Webster, Mel Bradley, Cat Brogan, and DJ set by Ann Harley.
All money raised will go towards alleviating poverty and helping women facing domestic violence.
One woman show 'For The Love Of Mary' will take place on Tuesday, March 8, at 8pm at Studio 2.
Viewed through the lens of a displaced woman from a Protestant/Unionist background who has spent more of her life living in Nationalist areas, this show maps a personal fascination with the Virgin Mary and her lost humanity, rediscovered in the stories shared by women living in Ireland.
Chicken Box Comedy International Women's Day Special will be hosted by Sara Jade Davidson in Bennigans Bar on Thursday, March 10, at 9pm and will be streamed online on their Facebook page.
