Inter Milan are confident of finally tying up a loan deal for Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku’s return.
The Belgian marksman, 29, is desperate to go back to the club where he lifted the title last year after a nightmare season at Stamford Bridge. Cash-strapped Inter are hopeful that they can reach a compromise on a loan fee of around £20million that Chelsea are demanding. Lukaku is also believed to be prepared to take a pay cut to make the move happen.
He failed to live up to his £97.5million price tag under Thomas Tuchel who opted for Champions League matchwinner from last year, Kai Havertz as a false nine.
