Inside the UK’s most eye-catching homes that Rightmove users were obsessed with this year

Rightmove has become a vastly popular site with millions of users each month. The property site is usually the go-to for those searching for their next house, as well as people who love noseying inside dream properties as a pastime.

The UK's biggest property website lists homes for sale from all across the country at a variety of different prices, but it is usually the multi-million pound mansions that attract the most attention.

As 2022 draws to a close, the site has named its top five most-viewed homes of the year, which have had the most clicks by users over the last 12 months.

From a £5 million equestrian facility that featured in Pride and Prejudice to a dreamy coastal retreat in Cornwall, each of these five properties is unique in its own right and comes with some incredible standout features.

Rightmove’s property expert, Tim Bannister, said: “From homes with years of history, to contemporary pads with every modern feature available, this year millions of people have been looking at the most amazing homes on the market on Rightmove.

Many of us have thought about where we could live if money was no object, and this shows in the most viewed homes of the year which have captured the imagination of people across Great Britain during 2022.”

Here are the most eye-catching listings on Rightmove this year:

1. A £5m equestrian facility in Wiltshire

This beautiful Grade II listed property in Chippenham, Wiltshire is Rightmove's most viewed listing of the year with a price tag of £5,000,000.

The stunning dwelling house, which is made up of eight bedrooms and seven bathrooms, dates back to the 11th century and boasts original Tudor features throughout.

The estate comes complete with an integral secondary accommodation, five further dwellings, farm buildings and it is nestled within woodland and the River Avon in Luckington village.

In 1995, the home's exteriors and interiors were used for Longbourn, the Bennet family home, in the BBC’s TV series Pride and Prejudice, which starred Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle.

2. A £35m mansion in London

This ultra modern mansion in London is the second most popular property on Rightmove this year.

With a whopping price tag of £35,000,000, the contemporary house is located on a sought-after road within the heart of Highgate and sits on a two-acre plot.

This £4,000,000 home in Carlyon Bay , Cornwall is attracting the eyes of many Rightmove users this year - and it's easy to see why.

The modern five-bed mansion spans around 7,200 square feet and is arranged over three lavish floors. Some of the standout features include five double bedrooms, each with their own en-suites, a stylish kitchen living area and four main reception rooms.

5. A £19.9m estate in Totteridge

Set in a luxurious estate in north London, the property is described as the 'dream for anyone looking to combine the hustle and bustle of city life with some privacy and space'.

The eight-bedroom home is equally as impressive inside as it is outside with a stunning interior and plenty of space surrounded by stunning grounds.
