Inside the new music bar opening this weekend on Cardiff's City Road

The shop many Cardiffians once knew and loved as vegetarian cafes Milgi, Blue Honey and Eartha is being reinvented as a brand new music bar - and it will still have the beloved back garden yurt.

Paradise Garden on City Road is going to be a "relaxed bar for music lovers" and will be opening on Friday, October 7. Founded by local musicians, DJs, co-founders of creative collective TEAK, and couple David Bull and Esther Taylor, whose artist names are Esther and David J Bull, the venue offers an intimate musical expereince with it being a "small capacity venue" with only room for 100 people.

Having been "really good friends" with the previous owners of Eartha and Blue Honey, Esther explains of taking over the premises: "I began DJing in the night cafe which was a Blue Honey venue. So, it felt like a natural progression to continue the venue as a creative space."
