The average house price in Greater Manchester at the moment is £240,946, but on the more affordable end of the region's property market, homes are selling for much, much less.
If you are looking for a low-cost home, you are most likely to find one in the boroughs of Bolton and Wigan, where the average cost of a home is much cheaper. There are several homes up for grabs across these areas that are currently listed for sale on Rightmove with prices starting from £20,000.
The majority of these are doer-upper homes, which need a bit of work doing to them, but would make ideal properties for first-time buyers or buy-to-let buyers.
